Farewell to Queen Jean of Mountain Green. We will miss Jean Bigler who passed away March 7, 2024. She was the heart of the Highlands and an example of fun and joy. We always felt better when we were around you, Jean. You made us feel loved and put a smile on our faces. The Highlands won’t be the same without you, but we’ll remember your funny jokes, the twinkle in your eyes, your fun-loving (and spicy) quips, and the pure love in your heart. Spotlight on EJ Brooks! Edward James (EJ) Brooks was born in the Philippines at Clark Airbase when his mother, Anita Brooks, was stationed there in the Airforce. He came to America when he was in 1 st grade when Anita was relocated to Hill Airforce Base. EJ lived on base until age 12 when he moved to the Highlands. EJ enjoyed scouts and did St. Joseph Catholic High School, WSU, and USU. He enjoyed tennis and soccer in both high school and college. EJ learned to telemark ski at Snow Bas

Juliet grew up in England, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the Netherlands. After high school she attended the University of Maryland in Japan earning a business degree with a minor in English (she loves to read). Then she moved to the Netherlands and went on a blind double date where she met Mark. She loved how gentle, caring and protective Mark was – and it didn’t hurt that he drove an awesome Trans-Am muscle car. Mark remembers how beau
