Welcome to the Thomson Family. Aydon and Aly Thomson were high school sweethearts at Morgan High School and were married in 2024. Last week they moved from Layton to the Highlands next to Brad and Cristina Richards. Aydon was a football player and wrestler at MHS, and Aly has always been a cheerleader, including at Weber State University. Aydon is fun to be around and has a contagious, extroverted personality and a spontaneous side that uplifts those around him. Aly is super friendly, kind and supportive, no matter the situation. She always provides a “judgment-free zone” full of love and unconditional support, always being there for anyone. The Thomsons are excited to live in Mountain Green and look forward to enjoying the scenery, the lack of city light pollution, being closer to their families, and getting to know new friends here in the neighborhood. Aydon is the nephew of Nicole Larsen and Aly is the granddaughter of Ron and Jennie Blunck. We’re excited to welcome the Thomson’s to the neighborhood!
Farewell to the Regans (Sierra Avenue). After 38 years serving in the U.S. Air Force and in federal service, Matt and Karen Regan are returning to New England to be closer to family during retirement. "Goodbye to all of our friends and neighbors in Mountain Green!! We have absolutely cherished these last 17 years living in Mountain Green. The community and our neighbors are some of the kindest and most caring people we have ever met. And our military travels have carried us all over the world and across the U.S! Thank you for all the warm and fond memories.” We will miss the Regans and wish them a fond farewell!
Farewell to the Taylors (Woodland Drive). Brodie and Abi Taylor are moving to Salt Lake City where Brodie will be going to medical school. “Goodbye to everyone. We’ve loved our time being in the neighborhood. We’ll miss you all and we’ll definitely be back to visit because we are only moving to Salt Lake. Who knows, maybe someday we’ll be able to come back and live in this wonderful community again!” We wish Brodie and Abi all the best in their new adventure!
Farewell Tommy Triplett (Highland Drive). We will miss having Tommy Triplett in the neighborhood. He is always one to lend a hand to his neighbors when they are in need. He has contributed much to the Highlands community and will do good things in this next chapter of his life. Tommy sent us this: “There's something magical about Morgan Valley. Some people think it's the mountains, but I believe it's people.” Farewell, Tommy. We wish you all the best!
